Day 8 (5/21)

Today we started off with another fun visit, this time to Tiger Hill and the leaning tower. The grounds were quite beautiful and the hike up to the tower was peaceful. I was amazed at how much the tower was actually leaning. After a quick lunch and check-out in Suzhou, we had one of our last company visits to Abbott Nutrition in Jiaxing. This visit was super interesting to me, as despite being an incoming intern I had neve seen any of Abbott’s production facilities. I was a bit disappointed that we were not able to see more of the factory due to the construction but the bit that we did see was quite impressive. I also like the case study/discussion we did on the pros/cons and potential of Industry 4.0. The visit today made me even more excited to start my internship for the summer. I’m excited for the upcoming visits and to spend some time in Shanghai as the city look like it has a lot going on!
