We’ve got some birthdays on our hands!! Erik turned 21 last night and Emily turns 21 tonight; we did karaoke last night for Erik and club SKY tonight for Emily. We nicknamed today “Passover”, since it’s passing from Erik’s to Emily’s birthday. It’s a huge, fantastic end to a wild two weeks. We travelled from Suzhou to Shanghai this morning, after having walked around Tiger Hill and visiting Abbott. Tiger Hill is the site of another garden and “the leaning tower of Pisa of the East”. At Abbott, we saw their baby formula production process–I found it interesting that they change the nutrition and flavor depending on the country. After the program dinner, a few of us went up to the roof top of the hotel to see the views of the city. It was unreal. I seriously felt like I had stepped onto the set of a movie. The buildings in Shanghai are on another level compared to all the other cities we’ve visited. All of them have insane light shows playing on the outside. The most striking ones on the skyline are the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai Tower.
